After a long period of in and out of corona lockdowns, and a nice summer break, Roadkill Rollers played their first game! On the 24th of September 2022 we traveled to Dom City Roller Derby in Utrecht.
Nice memorabilia
Together with players from Arnhem, Enschede and Groningen, we formed the amazeballs Eastside team! We were up against the Westside, which was formed by the ThunderDoms and other derby mates. It was a tough and fun battle, with lots of hits and sweat and a nice cheering audience. We even went home with cute memorabilia, in the form of the infamous “disaster raster” representing the floor on our buttocks 🙂
Final score
In the end, Eastside took home the prize with a score of 151 vs 238. Afterwards we all went for some drinks and grabbed a bite together. All in all, it couldn’t have been a better derby day. Thanks for an awesome game Dom City and all players, refs, nso’s and other volunteers!
